Curated by the staff of The Iowa Review, "Iowa Writes" features a poetry, fiction, or nonfiction piece several times a week on the 'Palette.' Several newspapers across the country (Kansas City, Little Rock, Chattanooga) have named 'In The Cool' in their top 10 for the year. The record was also chosen as one of the best CDs of 2005 by Amazon.com and reached the Top 20 on the Americana Music Association radio chart and the Top 30 on the non-commercial AAA radio chart.

Stranger Blues, co-produced by Pieta, due out July 18

Pieta served as co-producer on Bo Ramsey's new release, which will be titled "Stranger Blues". The disc is a collection of blues standards that have influenced Bo's own music over the years, interpreted and delivered in his own unique style. It will be released July 18 on Bo Ramsey Records. Pieta to appear on Peter Case tribute

Pieta will contribute "Spell of Wheels" to a Peter Case tribute CD featuring 45 performances of his songs to be released by the non-profit Hungry for Music. The Peter Case tribute will be released February 7, 2006.

New Pieta release on the way

Pieta's In The Cool will be released by Valley Entertainment (NY) September 13 in the US, and on One Little Indian Records (London) September 26 for the UK, Europe and the rest of the world.

Pieta working on new Bo Ramsey release

Pieta will be in the studio this summer with Bo Ramsey coproducing his latest release. Bo is recording his interpretation of favorite blues songs. More information and release dates will be available in late summer.
